Grace: Health Sector Worker → Business Analyst at NSW Company

Grace's celebration is more than a job offer — it's a testament to carrying on when everything screams stop.

The first conversation happened in January. Grace was sick of working back-to-back in the health sector. She needed a change. She wanted to work in her field and be a present mum. After seeing the SyncSkills playbook and what was possible, she was locked in.

Grace didn't do things halfway. Prior to the program starting, she took time off work so she could focus on upskilling. She did all assessments, participated fully in the elevator pitch and project pitch challenges, attended mock interview prep sessions, optimised her resume, and gave it her utmost best.

Then the unthinkable happened. Grace lost an extremely close relative. She had an upcoming interview. Everything was literally crashing down. During a mock interview preparation session, she was in tears. The team sent prayers and words of encouragement to support in their little way.

Would most people still attend an interview while grieving a loved one? Hard to tell — but Grace did exactly that. She attended just one interview in the heart of NSW and ended up with a six-figure Business Analyst role.

There was a visa situation in the mix too. Grace was on a Bridging Visa A and became worried, but with the right skills, you can defy a lot of odds. Her journey started in April and by September she signed the offer.
