Ajarat Sulaimon: Career Changer → Business Analyst at Australian Company

When you think about AJ’s journey, you think about a journey that felt impossible at times. But like a phoenix, she rose above every challenge.

AJ had a good head on her shoulders — articulate, eloquent, and genuinely keen to figure out what was possible. She joined every session, asked the right questions, and put in the work even with a demanding schedule.

Then came the turning point. AJ called and said she was done with her current job. She refused to be subjected to things that went against her character just to earn a living. It takes a certain level of bravery to leave what you’re doing and bet on yourself that what you’re working towards will actually work.

And that’s what SyncSkills is built for — people who are willing to bet on themselves.

AJ went through the Dollar Stage, the Elevator Pitch, the internship, and all the preparation. And a massive shoutout to Taiwo, a SyncSkills alumnus who stepped up in a huge way — sending AJ hiring managers, giving her confidence, referrals, and insider insights.

This is what’s becoming increasingly common within SyncSkills: alumni working in the same companies, more than one person on initiatives that are changing lives.

And to anyone who says “In Tasmania, there are no jobs” — you only need one job. AJ proved that where you live doesn’t determine what you deserve.

Congratulations, AJ. This is only the beginning.
