Frequently Asked Questions

Is this a paid internship?

This is an unpaid learning experience designed to provide practical work experience. It is not employment — you are participating voluntarily to develop your professional skills and gain Australian work references.

How will this help me get a job?

You'll walk away with three things employers look for: a professional reference letter from an Australian company, real project work for your portfolio, and hands-on experience with tools like Jira and Confluence. Many of our interns go on to land their first Australian role within weeks of completing the programme.

How many hours per week do I need to commit?

A minimum of 8 hours per week for the full 4-week programme. You can commit more if you'd like — many interns do 12-16 hours for a deeper experience.

What projects will I work on?

You'll work on real, live products — not dummy projects. This includes AI-powered platforms, customer-facing applications, internal tools, and growth initiatives. All projects are anchored by Jacinth Solutions, a real AI implementation company.

Do I need prior experience?

Yes. This is real project work with real teams and real deadlines, so relevant experience or training is expected. For BA, PM, and Scrum Master roles, SyncSkills students receive priority placement. For developer, sales, marketing, and social media roles, applications are open to anyone with relevant skills.

What if I'm in a different timezone?

Standups are at 9:00 AM AEST (Monday, Wednesday, Friday) and check-ins at 6:00 PM AEST (Tuesday, Thursday). If you can't attend all sessions, note your availability in the form — we'll work with you where possible.

Will I get a reference letter?

Yes. Interns who complete the programme in good standing receive a professional reference letter from Jacinth Solutions that you can use on your resume and LinkedIn.

Can I apply if I'm not a SyncSkills student?

Yes. SyncSkills students receive priority placement for BA, PM, and Scrum Master roles. Developer, tester, sales, marketing, and social media roles are open to all qualified applicants. Everyone is reviewed on merit.
